Getting Started
To get started with the STL Exporter, simply download and install the application. The External Tools menu in your Autodesk® Revit® 2010 product now contains the Export STL option.
You can begin using the STL Exporter by loading the 3D model you want to print and selecting a 3D view. Refer to the Read Me file to set up your 3D view. When you are ready, export your model using the Export command on the External Tools menu. Adjust your 3D model using an STL viewer and print using a 3D printer.
Please note that the STL Exporter defaults to measurement in feet. To scale your final product, be sure to base your measurement on a conversion from feet at the time of import into your secondary application.
