Integrate Autodesk Revit project elements with external databases.

Overview

Use the RDB Link tool to easily import and export data from project elements created using the Autodesk® Revit® family of products, while maintaining relationships with non-Revit data. Once data has been imported, RDB Link enables you to revise your database within the project. To further maintain consistency, when other data is exported to the same database, only project-specific data is affected. New fields or tables added to the database remain consistent alongside newly exported data.

With an easy-to-read grid view of all data, you can clearly define and make edits before final import and also create Revit Shared Parameters to add new fields to the database in the related tables. Changes to these new fields within the database automatically update the Revit Shared Parameters after future imports.

Note that this technology preview will expire on January 1, 2010.
