    1. Is Project Galileo Online free?
      Autodesk Project Galileo Online is a technology preview available from Autodesk® Labs. There are no fees associated with this technology preview. It is a limited-time technology preview that will automatically timeout on September 30, 2012. Refer to the EULA that appears during application installation for more information on technology previews and terms of use.

    2. What is Project Galileo Online?
      Project Galileo Online is an experimental extension to Autodesk Infrastructure Modeler 2012 that allows users to collaborate with other Infrastructure Modeler users on models.

    3. Who are the intended users of Project Galileo Online?
      Project Galileo Online is intended for professionals using Autodesk Infrastructure Modeler 2012 who are involved with the planning and design of infrastructure in projects that range in scale from a few buildings to large national parks and urban areas. Users may include city/urban, transportation, and utility planners; geospatial professionals; project managers; and architects.

    4. What are the benefits of Project Galileo Online?
      Project Galileo is a technology preview that enables planning and design professionals to collaborate with team members to build and review models together. Users are able to work locally and synch changes to the cloud while also having the ability to browse messages from other users who may be working on the same models. Users may also publish models that may be viewed in web browsers or on mobile devices, specifically Apple IPad 2 devices.

  2. Installation, Configuration, and Licensing

    1. What are the system requirements for Project Galileo Online software?
      Project Galileo Online only works with Autodesk Infrastructure Modeler 2012. To find out the system requirements of Infrastructure Modeler, please visit: www.autodesk.com/infrastructure-modeler. Project Galileo Mobile works on IPad 2 devices.  The Project Galileo Online web viewer works on Internet Explorer, Chrome, and Firefox browsers.

    2. How can I use Project Galileo Online?
      Project Galileo Online is licensed under an end-user license agreement which allows you to use Project Galileo solely for the purpose of evaluating and testing it. You may not use Project Galileo for commercial, professional, or other for-profit purposes.

    3. Must I have an Autodesk Single Sign-On account to work with Project Galileo Online?
      Project Galileo Online requires an Autodesk Single Sign-On account to use Project Galileo Online. The account allows us to allocate storage and account resources for you and allows you to connect to other users whom you may want to edit or download your model. Note that you do not have to allow other users to access the models that you post to Project Galileo Online. 3.  Because all of the Project Galileo Online components are proprietary, experimental previews, at this time we are requiring users of any part of the technology to have a Single Sign-On account to access the links and download on the Autodesk Labs site.

  3. Compatibility and Interoperability

    1. Is Project Galileo Online the same thing as Project Galileo?
      No. Project Galileo was a preview of a desktop model authoring technology and has graduated from Autodesk Labs to become part of Autodesk Infrastructure Modeler software. Project Galileo Online is a tool that connects Infrastructure Modeler users to a viewing, storage, and collaboration service.

    2. Will Project Galileo Online work with Project Galileo?
      No. Project Galileo Online only works with the released version of Autodesk Infrastructure Modeler 2012 Service Pack 1.

    3. Will Project Galileo Online work with other Autodesk applications?
      No. At this time Project Galileo Online only works with the released version of Autodesk Infrastructure Modeler 2012 Service Pack 1.
