OVERVIEW

Process Sim was a technology preview of a discrete event simulation tool that helped users analyze their processes and how they work. Users could build a logical model of their proposed assembly line, factory, or industrial machine, and simulate its operation to identify potential bottlenecks to optimize performance based on design criteria.

The Process Sim technology preview helped system designers, manufacturing engineers, and layout engineers save time and reduce costs by enabling functional and throughput analysis. Specifically it can be used to guide decisions regarding manufacturing alternatives, equipment choices, capacity analysis and WIP reduction, improved line balancing, and general productivity enhancements.

AVAILABILITY

The technology preview will be available until February 28, 2013. Users who wish to continue to shape the future of simulation technology should get involved in the Autodesk Beta Program.
