Getting Started

The Project Scandium Technology Preview 2 for Moldflow Insight delivers significant new solver technologies made available for your feedback. The technology preview can only be used with an existing Autodesk Moldflow Insight 2012 license. For this technology preview, there are two installs: one for the functionality and another for the user interface. You should run both installers that are included in the zip file you downloaded.

Once installed, the technology preview operates like a standard Autodesk Moldflow Insight product with additional options and models available, including the following new technologies:

• Transient Mold Temperatures

• Wall Slip

• Long Fiber Breakage

• Fiber Orientation for 3D Thermoset molding processes

• Crystallization Modeling

• General Solver Enhancements

The use and results generated for each of the above technologies are shown in detail within the embedded help and Project Scandium Release Notes. Also typical usage patterns of each feature are shown in the Overview page videos.
