When the technology preview was active, here was some information to help users get started with the BIM Coordinator for AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit technology preview:

Essential to effective collaboration across AEC disciplines and good quality project information is the effective organization of project data in shared or related coordinates. To this end, Autodesk Consulting has made available its BIM Coordinator for AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit to assist in the smooth and error-free exchange of model data.

The BIM Coordinator automates the more error-prone manual steps in the coordination of site and building grids between the AutoCAD and Revit environments. The tool specifies one common XYZ point and its orientation in the XY plane between the two coordinate systems. This reference point defines the relationship between the building and site grid.

The tool is comprised of both a Revit 2012 and AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 component, each with its corresponding installer. The workflow can also be used to coordinate exports to Navisworks as shown in the demo video.
