Publish your designs directly to Project Freewheel.

Getting Started

To get started with the 3D/2D ShareNow add-in, download and open the compressed installers zip file. The file contains more than one installer. Extract and execute the installer that mates with the Autodesk applications on your system:

    AutodeskShareNowSetup2009.msi - This installer is compatible with the AutoCAD 2009 family of products, Inventor 2009 family of products, and Revit 2009 family of products.

  • AutodeskShareNowSetup2010_2011.msi - This installer is compatible with the AutoCAD 2010 and 2011 family of products, Inventor 2010 and 2011 family of products, and Revit 2010 and 2011 family of products. This includes both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

  • SetupDesignReviewShareNow2009_2010.msi - This installer is compatible with Autodesk Design Review 2009 and 2010. Autodesk Design Review 2011 ships with ShareNow functionality already built-in.

Once installed, the 3D/2D ShareNow add-in appears when the application is restarted. You can then use the following new features within your chosen application:

  • AutoCAD 2008 / 2009: A toolbar containing easy ShareNow and ShareDSD icons. Clicking ShareNow shares the current drawing. Clicking ShareDSD shares a set of drawings previously saved as a sheet set.

  • AutoCAD 2010 / 2011 family of products: A ribbon interface contains "Share the view" and "Share a drawing set" commands in the Add-Ins section.

  • Inventor 2008 / 2009: The File menu contains a ShareNow command. You can choose to publish either the current document or all loaded documents to Project Freewheel®.

  • Inventor 2010 / 2011: A ribbon interface contains "Publish current document to Freewheel" and "Publish all loaded documents to Freewheel" commands in the Add-Ins section.

  • Inventor LT™: To include two new ShareNow icons on your toolbar, right-click the toolbar, choose Customize, and then click the Command tab. You can now drag your ShareNow icons onto the toolbar.

  • Autodesk Revit 2008 / 2009: ShareNow icons enable quick sharing of either the current view or all previous views of a building information model.

  • Revit 2010 / 2011: A ribbon interface contains "Share this view" and "Share all views" commands in the Add-Ins section.

  • Autodesk Design Review 2009 and 2010: Click the Freewheel command on the File menu to publish to Project Freewheel. Autodesk Design Review 2011 ships with ShareNow enabled without the need for the download and install.

Start using the 3D/2D ShareNow add-in by loading a design into your AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit, or Design Review application. When you click the ShareNow icon or use the ShareNow command, the application publishes your design directly to Project Freewheel and opens your browser. You are now ready to share your designs and collaborate with your colleagues through the Project Freewheel site.
