- Inventor LT Technology Preview 2009 cannot be installed on a computer that has Inventor 2009 installed.
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 (SP2) through 7 (SP1).
- Microsoft Excel 2003 through 2007 for iComponents, thread customization and spreadsheet driven designs.
- Internet connection for web downloads.
- Autodesk recommends settings which allow Microsoft Windows to manage virtual memory, as needed. There should always be at least twice as much free hard disk space as system memory.
Notes
- Autodesk Inventor LT Technology Preview 2009 is available as a both a 32bit application for operation on 32bit systems and a 64bit application for operation on 64bit systems.
- Less-capable machines may be able to run Autodesk Inventor LT Technology Preview 2009, but the results may be less than ideal. Sufficient processor speed and RAM directly affects performance and capacity and is strongly recommended for production design work.
- Inventor LT Technology Preview 2009 requires a processor that supports the SSE2 extended instruction set: Pentium IV, AMD Athlon 64, or later. Inventor LT Technology Preview 2009 will not install or run on a computer that does not support SSE2. If you are unsure if your computer meets this requirement, several simple CPUID utilities are available on the internet that report supported instructions sets.

Uninstalling the original version of Inventor LT Technology Preview
After the original version license expires on May 1, 2008, consider removing it from your computer as you will no longer be able to run it.
In most cases, simply using Add or Remove Programs from your Windows Control Panel will result in a clean uninstallation.
