Reminder: No Password Required
A design loaded into Project Freewheel can be shared simply by starting a session which involves picking a unique name. Although you can require a password if you like, one is not required.
Our of QA Engineers, Shana Piver, noted that the online help for starting a sharing session in Project Freewheel states:
|
"Start" allows you to start a sharing session. During the session, all users see the same view of the design as the pans, zooms, and orbits by one user are applied to the views for all of the participants in the session. To start a sharing session, you must first log into Autodesk Labs. You supply a session name and a session password (optional). As part of logging your activity during the session, your name is taken as the combination of "First name" and "Last name" from your Autodesk Labs profile. |
She noted that the dialog looked like:
So she rightfully logged a defect that we should make this clearer. Software engineer, Changwen "Garfield" Yin, made this change:
Optional is clearly indicated. This will be part of an upcoming Project Freewheel update. For your immediate needs, I am reminding you that the password is optional - no password required.

This way it won't be "Only You Know and I Know" for even "One More Night." Sharing information via bad puns and parodies of Phil Collins' album covers is alive in the lab.
